We woke up Sunday morning and decided to try the brunch at Nani Mau Gardens in Hilo. We have enjoyed the venue and gardens it over the years, attending Weddings and First Birthdays.

We hadn't been there in so long and now under new ownership, we were curious.

It was a beautiful day...

...with a nice breeze.

Since we were pretty hungry, we started in the dining room. They give locals a Kama'aina rate, so we were stoked about that! Next time I'll get all the drinks and dessert that comes with and take the picture.... I was too happy to start eating! Anyway, it's a great bargain and good hearty food. Our tummy's were happy!

A row of Bleeding Hearts...

...line the walkway.

Some type of exotic flower attached to a tree.

Blooming Wisteria

and a hand carved Tiki are within the garden enclosure.

There are charming backdrops...

...for amateurs and professionals alike.

My handsome husband, James ...

and a gorgeous clump of bamboo.

There are so many different types of orchids.

Even the green flowers and air plants are special.

You'll find interesting planters around the gardens.

A hanging Hawaiian Stag Horn fern...

and a couple of white Spathe flowers.

I actually can't wait till someone from the mainland visits us so we can spend another pleasant afternoon at Nani Mau Gardens. A hui hou!
